By changing media, things transform into new dimensions that amazingly change their appearance. In this exhibition, the three-dimensional miniatures, which are assembled from various materials and fragments of everyday reality, cannot be seen in person. Rather, the fragile haptic and imaginative qualities of the figurations are transferred into “silent images” and appear in strange faces, landscapes and composed scenes. My photographic eye captured the materiality and charisma in the pictorial two-dimensionality and immortalized them enlarged on the image surface. While the original matter of the partially organic fragments changes subtly to completely, the photographic image creates an unreal, distant proximity to things: the duration of surreal corporeality.
